Sony gets creative.

So I got this Sony amp (XM-2165GTX). I decided to crack it open one day to see how they did things. When you take off the under cover, you're looking at the PCB. I saw something rather bizzare, it said: "LOVE & PEACE" Odd I though...

Here are pics:

Props to Sony!

that was prolly something that the individual that was working on that particular amp took upon himself to do, kind of like the little hidden things people see in movies and what not. i work at a company that does technical illustrations for the government and some of the 'other' illustrators sneak in little ---- in to the drawings some times, but you didn't hear that from me :-X

Shows you the people at Sony take pride in their work. I remember hearing stories about Domestic autoworkers tac welding bolts inside of a cars fender or door panels. Of course, it would only be a tiny weld spot and would only hold the bolt in place for a short amount of time (long enough to pass inspection). After a couple of years, the bolt would come loose and the car's poor owner would report a rattle that the service department "just cannot find"... Don't you just love the U.A.W.? ;D

I guess I find it rather interesting because of this:

Seems chip designers like personalizing their chips.

i'm pretty sure all the pcb's were done like that, as i'm sure it is a highly automated process.

Yeah I saw that chip creating personalization thing. It's pretty cool. Another thing I've noticed people do this to is vinyl records. Alot of the records I have, have the people's nicknemes etc. scribed around the label by the vinyl cutter. It's pretty interesting.

if you ever look into some of the CAD files I draw of "a major international airport" You will see an entire drawn war with stickmen shooting guns, and 2-d airplanes...drawn like a 3 year old....

I have my own "hatch pattern" that is supposed to be a screened texture....made of my name repeated over and over again, reduced to a size so that it looks like an oval...
