They have been focusing heavily on the next generation of weapons and propulsion systems, including Microwave, Laser, and Electromagnetic-Kinetic weapons, more commonly known as railguns. What specifically surprised me was the fact that the Navy plans to deploy these systems as early as 2011, on their DD(X) frigates. The range of these rail guns is estimated to be over 250 miles

Rail guns? Okay, has anybody here seen the Arnold flick, "Eraser"? The rail gun is kinda like that in a way. It's cool that they are finally putting these bad boys on. If I was the bad guys, I'd be shittin my pants.

the M4s will help out our Marines a lot. the m16 is too long to move quickly in a humvee. they aren't fighting very much in long range situations so the reduced range won't hurt them at all.

from experience, you are 100% correct. the M16 is wider than a hummvee window. its hard as hell to get that bitch out the window! we dunped some shells out of a M249 SAW once. its like 750 rounds per min. its some serious ----.


my job in the Marine Corps is a Radio Operator. to put into perspective, Im the guy in all the war movies with the antenna out of my back, the guy always gettin shot at, knock out comm and your fucked.
right now though, im the generals driver. --Im gonna be till I get out. its a sweet job. (im on homemadeturbo.com all day long, unless he wants to go somewhere)
