Default Opinions on Egay boost controllers

Just wondering what your opinions are on these cheap $10-20 ebay manual boost controllers? They're all over ebay and want to get an idea on if they work? Anybody ever try them? Do they suck, did any one get any boost spikes or are they the same as a HMT home depot boost controller? I just want to turn the boost up from my current 10psi to about 12-13psi. You think it'll be ok??

looks basically the same as a hardware store one just more pretty. The only problem that I have with the hardware store types and most of the ebay ones that I've seen is that they have a very course adjustment, as in one turn is a ton of boost, making them hard to set. I have a turboxs boost controller right now and love it because its super easy to set and has a very fine adjustment. But I also change my boost each time i go to the track so I should really just get a two stage.

Ive messed with a few of those before, and they seemed to work just fine.
88dx uses one just like the one you linked, and its doing fine as well. It is very sensative to adjustment.

Id say its worth the $12. The only time these are shady, is when you're trying to get big boost outa an internally gated turbo. IMHO.

I'm running one right now and haven't had any problems so far. When if first got it i could not get it to boost under 10psi. Cut a couple of coils off the spring inside and it let me lower boost. Worth the ten dollars imo.

I have always made m own but for that price I bought one from the same seller on ebay. I works fine. It came in and looked like it had been hit by a bus though.

I just made the home depot one, cost like $8 and it works great, but seriously how can you ---- somthing like that up, its pretty simple. I'd go for it, you dont have to go through the hassle of putting it together, unless you need it in a hurry then just go to home depot.
