well, i went to the car wash last night and just so happened to have my digi with me, and since i've never really posted any pics of my car i figured i would. if it looks a little funny, it's because it's wet ;)

last ones a little blurry :-\ no, no turbo, and they're prolly won't be one for a few months because i just bought a house yesterday (it's not everyday you get to say that ;D), but i did just order my cca intercooler and manifold and i'll be getting the smt-6 in a couple weeks, so, i'm off to a good start, i'll prolly buy a brand new t3/t4 also, and of course stealthmode oil lines, yada, yada, yada. i was thinking about taking some video also, but it's not much fun if all you're hearing is vtec screaming, but no bov :'(

I don't have any real pics of it but here are some of the ghettospeed cruiser. Very few visual queues as to what it's hiding. I even painted the IC - hard to see eh?

It's a Mazda 323 GT-X with a JDM 1.8l BPT (180bhp stock) engine. In my basement I've got a 323 GT-R motor that I'm going to freshen and install. 210bhp stock.

Hey projekteg very nice "clean" ride! The only thing I don't like is it looks like your muffler tips stick too far out past your bumper in the fourth pick IMO anyway, oh and the other thing I don't like is there is no turbo but you're working on it so I guess it's ok ;) Overall a very nice ride. Congrats on the house purchase too, I hope to be in the market myself this summer or may be next.

oh, no ---- man, that gay ass muffler was on there when i bought it :P i hate it too, i was thinking about hacking the tips off with a hacksaw, i might do that today actually ;D

Yes. Intended to be a sleeper. People drive by they see a 2.5" exhaust out the back and hear the dynomax. They see the 3 autometers on the dash and the WBO2 in front of me. They are like "look at that riced up POS".

Running a conservative map on only 7PSI of boost I surprised the ---- out of more than one car. Lost by a carlength to a modded GTP, Killed a ford thunderbird, a few civics, bonneville ssi, V6 mustang and an RX7 turbo II that couldn't seem to get any traction...

It's limited to about 240bhp by the turbo. Makes boost at 1800 RPM. The GTR turbo RHF6 62mm turbine/68mm compressor should allow up to 400hp limited of course by the 450cc injectors.

I call this thing a ghettospeed cruiser because I've made practically everything on it out of JY parts. Lemme think:
FMIC from a freightliner with taker truck boost hose.
Bungs for the BOV with metal hose fittings TIG welded on.
Rubber intake pipe from a V6 minivan with exhaust reducers to a Canadian Tire rice cone filter.
Boost solenoid from my STi.
Tec-II from my parts bin
Talon 450cc injectors for my D16 turbo project.
Shifter cables from an AWD Protege
Engine mounts from a different model 323.
IAC from a GM truck,
PS stuff from a 626 - yet to be installed.
Discs from a VR4 gallant with custom made hubs and Ford/Mazda Escort calipers as soon as I can find the time in a machine shop.
CV axles custom made from accord and GM parts.
MAT and MAP from a transmarobird turbo
Turbo hybrid with a subaru legacy turbo unit.
Brake booster check valve from a CRX.

So I'm definitely not a Mazda purist...

but i think boost will make is so much better

hackish nice set-up. i currently own a gtx bottom end with a set of 9:0 gt spec'd forged aluminum pistons with an N/A head and the gtR turbo and exhaust manifold. i am not planning on being a sleeper at all tho. just hope i can get the build finished adn swapped in by the middle of the year. i will leave that up to you. heheh you seeing mid to low 14's to high 13's on slicks?

Exactly which GT-R turbo spec is it that you've got? And which block 1600 or 1800?

With the GT-X motor I was probably making about 240bhp and with the thing running fairly rich and a conservative ignition map I banged off a 14.1. Everyone who was in the car when the fuel pump was not failing agreed it was well into the 13's. With the GT-R motor I should be seeing low 13's high 12's. The 14.1 was with some shitty bald all seasons.

1800 block. what turbo where you using just the stock vj-20? my friend rana 13.4 with the stock gtx and ecu in his escort on slicks. he now works at Corksport and bought the vj20-t3/4 hybrid and has made a low of 12.6. i know the CS drag protege hit a 12.3 on slicks with just a gtR motor adn being gutted. so i know it can see mid 12's consitantly. i also know a guy with a gtx in his 323 hb that his a 14.1 on stockers too. so there is no need to prove yourself. i have seen many degrees of the BP series motor.
