Sweet. Any idea on how quick it is? There isn't a boost gauge to begin with?

Re: Some HMT Bling
Nice, I've always like those. I would love a wagon if I had the cash.

Re: Some HMT Bling
what else you got done to it

nice car bro. still kickin it with the crx? havent talked to you in a long while |
Re: Some HMT Bling
Its an all around nice car, has a little of everything, system, wheels, suspension, LSD and of course boost, I've had it over a year now, its fun to drive still only a high 14 second car runs 5.5 Psi on a BB T25...
right now the wastegate acctuator is failing so it hits 5-6 psi an then drops down to 3-4 and the car runs pig rich from the factory, there is a special AFC needed for the car since it runs of a 6v MAF instead of the regular 12v and nope, no stock boost guage >:( Once I throw on a new acctuator I'm gonna take it to the track and see what she runs, eventually going to do a 3" catless DP and a FMIC with hard piping ;D |

Re: Some HMT Bling
then do it you got nothing to loose
|
Re: Some HMT Bling
Swap in the spare, run 12 psi til it blows then swap in your original engine, since you already know its a good one ;)

hey is that engine 2.0L, if so what is the bolt patern on the exhast manifold of the head.

Re: Some HMT Bling
thats a sweet boost gauge, did you get it at a trucker stop ;)

No, you cannot wire in a resistor to UP the voltage. If it were the other way around and the had 12 volts and need something on the 6 volt scale it would most likely be possible. Now there may be a circuit that could be used to read a 6 volt range signal and accomodate the 12 volt requirement, but I would be is in the "special AFC" that you mentioned. ;) |
Re: Some HMT Bling
Just ordered an a new acctuator and a MBC from blasst, so well be boosting strong again soon, I'll turn it up a bit now too since she runs pig rich from the factory and boggs at WOT

Re: Some HMT Bling
One of my friend's had the same exact car, but in blue...he had the same problem with the wastegate as you do. I talked to him a few times about the car, and he said he had a found a way to chip the ecu...only problem was the way the ecu's are setup it erases what you programmed on when you turn off the car, so you'd have to have a constant voltage source to the ecu in order to retain your tune. All in all they aren't too bad, and they handle like a beast too.
