some dude tried 2 rip me off
I went to meet this guy who was selling a t3t4 garrett turbo "brand new". He's been trying to sell this thing since November for 400. i Offered him 200 today b/c he sad he was desperate for cash. Went to meet him, 1st thing wrong, he said he walked to the location where we met, my guess is so i wouldnt see his car. He handed me the turbo, the fucker was spray painted silver on the turbine side.he said he had his friend POLISH it because it was "rusty" looking...hello, can anyone say used? I looked inside, you could see the oil residue on the fins. exhaust side was normal "used" burn look. so much for "brand new". I checked the shaft, talk about play, on the compressor side when i spun it i could hear it scratching the housing! you know, the sound of death!? toast. WTF. Also, it had a t3 .42 compressor housing, no t4. he said that it was a t4, he pointed to the part where the charge pipe connects to the compressor housing and said, "thats a t4 flange there" WTF. that ------ thing was fawwwwked up. he cleaned it up pretty good though. i hope nobody buys that thing from him. damn...some people
