I made this kit for a freind of mine. its been done for a couple of months but I just recently removed the fmu and installed dsm 450's and uberdata.
here's the specs.
1997 EK hatch
D16Y7
self built manifold made with sch. 40 els
self built 2.5" mandrel dp and catless exhaust
garrett t3 60 trim with .48 turbine housing.
Thunderbird Turbocoupe IC front mounted
DSM 450cc injectors
walbro 190lph fuel pump(stock volvo V70R pump)
OBD1 conversion with P06 ecu and uberdata tuned by me.
apex I bov(freebie)
Injen cold air intake acts as 50% of ic plumbing
this entire project was done with less than $600 it runs very well. boost set at 5psi and we'll turn it up as soon as we get a wb 02.

I've heard of people converting to a y8 intake manifold. is it worth the effort? my goal with his car is to beat a guy we work with that has a prelude with a jrsc and every bolt on imaginable plus a 9lb pully, lightend flywheel, ect,ect.. he has over 4K in his lude and I want our little $600 project to beat him. he's not a very good driver so thats on our side.

i changed from a Y7 to a Y8, the responsiveness of the car improved a bit but not as much as a lot of people claims.

you should see a 6-8 whp gain with a y8 manifold over those y7 toilet bowls

Did you keep your power steering? I can't tell in the picture. Where did you relocate the windshield wiper tank? Not bad. The y7 intake is priceless though.
