completely collapsed last night for about thrity minutes. It wasn't pretty!
Attachment 10205 Attachment 10206 Attachment 10207 Attachment 10208 I don't care how bad the players suck. Getting 42 kills in TDM is working HARD! Wish I would have been playing on the samsung so it was recorded, but I was playing on a monitor. :'( |
Re: So the Xbox Live TrueMatch Server...
looks like your opponents didnt like to lose so they left. a lot of 1-0 and 1-1 like they just joined at the end.

Re: So the Xbox Live TrueMatch Server...
toysrme are you playing with a keyboard, or modded controller?
|
Re: So the Xbox Live TrueMatch Server...
mouse & keyboard.
On a controller in W@W I average 1.5-1.7'ish mouse its 3-10:1 in DM. In a faster paced, more fluid game (al-la UT3) where there is more aiming and less "shot was lined up before you walked around that corner, or shot in the back from friendly spawning" the little bit I played it with a mouse was more 15-20:1. Controllers are controllers. no matter how fast you shoot the aiming is 20% your hand on the controller and 80% barn sized hitboxes & auto-aim. My overall average is pretty low. 16000+ kills, 1.6-1.7 kd/r. I let others play on my name in the morning & evening. I have a friend on his account he averages like a 0.6:1 kd/r. On my name with a mouse he manages 0.9-1.25:1. So alot better. W@W isn't the best example of mouse owning tho. No matter how good you are, you are going to die from your fair share of spawn kills. Sometimes I enjoy just rampaing with an autofire script I wrote with an M1A1. Every now and then someone bitches, but the fact is it does less damage than most of the auto guns, and I can turn around the next match and do about the same thing with a crappy gun, say a BAR lol. Meh, I like: #1 FG42 (SP/SOL & PPSh (SP). #2 auto Gewehr & M1A1 (SP/SOL). #3 STG44 (DT). |
Re: So the Xbox Live TrueMatch Server...
What interface are you using for the mouse and keyboard? xfps or a homebrew solution?

Re: So the Xbox Live TrueMatch Server...
Blah I estimate 1/2 my deaths are spawn kills. Either someone spawns and shoots me before a reaction is possible, or you spawn in someone's line of fire.
Max Shooter 2 (copy of the new model XFPS) with an XIM 1 to program it. You can get them on ebay pretty cheap. XIM2's are out but hard to get. |
Re: So the Xbox Live TrueMatch Server...
do you need any specialized keyboard and mouse to hook up to the 360 and do you need any drivers or programs to run, or straight up plug and play?

Re: So the Xbox Live TrueMatch Server...
Just played on a cousin's account to level him up alittle (He's young, has a hard time and must have red dot / apature sights for COD games). Went 11-13 (wrong settings loaded), 22-4, 22-4, 22-2, 24-2, 18-1 (host quit) LoL! Needless to say, anyone just getting into cod W@W, lemmie play on your profile for an hour so I can get you a 4:1+ K/D ratio LMAO!
No. with XIM's they do alot of processing on your PC to make them programmable and infinately more accurate. There-hence-forth you can use literally any input that can be seen in XP/Vista/Win7 from midi device inputs to anything USB. I use a Logitech G9 mouse and my laptop's built in keyboard. Some people use gaming grade keyboards or things like a Saitek CCU/Belkin controller. I have an XIM1. That's the old way that must use an adapter with a PS2 controller port on it. (XFPS/Max Shooter 2 for 360, any of a hundred input devices for PS2/PS3) Most of the Playstation adapters can do around 60 updates a second. The XFPS/MS2 for use on xbox go around 28-32 updates a second. I think that get's blown out of proportion alot simply because the xbox 360 can only poll the inputs every 20-25 ms anyway. So a round trip button press (that would be X button DOWN X button UP) would take 40-50ms. Which happens to be about 25 presses/second. And that's for a faster wired controller. No comment on how fast a PS3 can accept inputs. The newer half dozen version of the XIM2 solder directly onto an xbox 360 wired controller and have better programming. So in my case it goes Xbox 360 -usb-> Max Shooter 2 -PS2 controller port-> XIM 1 -usb-> PC and anything attached to the PC can be used as an input. People ask themselves why so many PS3 owners are running XIM 1's to kb &m when the PS3 has mouse drivers. That's because only one PS3 game actually supported a mouse and it was so pitiful Sony asked developers to despinse with supporting them. ;) |
