I've been working for a ford dealership for the past year and a half, started out with really crappy pay in the quick lane area, they started giving me more and more work so I got a raise, asked for another raise got it, finally got moved out of the quick lane into the normal shop as the hourly/bitch guy and got another raise. So I still don't make that much money but its not too bad, I have full benefits, get free parts most of the time, and get great deals on cars I can re sell and make money off of. I'll probually be moved to flat rate in about another year or so, I basically have to work on what ever they give me, friday I had to put a trans back in an f150 another tech took out, cause he hurt his back. I enjoy my job and know/hope it will get better but part of me wants to start working on motorcycles but I don't know if the pay is there.

The people that talk to me on AIM know what I do, I guess I'm a business man of sorts because I have 3 employees that work for me. I make quite a bit, in the past 4-6 months I probably cleared 14-16k, not rich but living well. I also have a good amount of inherited money from my late father.

I made decent money as a tech at a victory dealership. It's a lot less of a pain in the *** and the customers are nicer, usually. You get paied the normal rate for installing retarded accessories, too. That's always nice
