i let my friend and his gf borrow my turbo del sol today, when they came back to my house they left the car running, a minute later she went back to turn off the car. after they left in there car i looked all over for the keys. called her, she said that she either left them in the del sol or ontop of the ------- geo that they left my house in. strip searched the ------- del sol, found nothing, so i figure they musta been on the negro ------- geo.

So now i need to get new keys
does anyone know how much it would cost to get a new key to a del sol, 89 crx, and a 99 s10? would it be cheaper to have a locksmith make them or buy new keys and cylinder things?

id go check down the street if they left the the keys ontop of the car and drove off it prolly fell off somewhere on a turn or where they went fast

unless you have the number written down that was on your original key, honda can't make another copy. I would suggest getting as many friends as you can to borrow you their keys. Honda has like 20 different key cuts from 88-00. I have ea buddy that took a dremel to a blank and can open 90 percent of ef/ej, em's

All you need is the vin number and title to make a new key. Then, hope no one has every changed the switch on it or else you're fucked.

Why would you let them borrow it to begin with? Only people that have driven my car is my mom and Jorsher.

That's impossible, they were in a Geo. Another reason they wouldn't be driving my boosted car.

If this is true, ---- my local honda dealership. They told me that ---- wasnt recorded, Maybe that was just because it was a 91, could be different for newer vehicles.

On you passenger side cylinder lock, there will be your key number inscribed on it.
Or take your title up to the honda dealership..The car has to be in your name or
you have to know somebody in the used car business.

if you have spares, get copies made from any key place in your area, i just steal mine from my part time job on the weekends and copy them if i need. copies are like 3-4 bucks tops

well i brought the title to the honda dealership, and even though the car hasnt been put in my name yet they still made me a copy of the car for 2.82 :)

chevy on the other hand, wants me to put the s10 in my name before they will give me a key :(

my old key open 3 other civic... but yep... a vin and a title and you should be able to get a new key at the dealer.
