Re: So I wanna do my own headliner
Alright so the Corduroy came out ------ Hot but i ran into one ------- problem. the goddamn sunroof slide. It has the handle/vents like Plastic rivited through the shade, so if i was to pull it out there would be nothing left to put it back with. Anybody done a slide before?
I guess im gonna have to drop it off at an upholstery shop, hope it wont be too much.
Heres pics of the dub.
and hers teh interior shots
and the goddamn slide.
Of course it aint int he car cause i gotta get the sunroof slide in first then the headliner goes up so I aint doing it twice that's for sure. Sucks to have it done and chillin in my garage instead of in the car.

Re: So I wanna do my own headliner
you can do the shade yourself and it shouldnt be to hard.
just remove the shade and melt the plastic tabs and revove the plastic part, redo the material, then place the plastic back in and use hot glue or epoxy or gorilla glue to attached it back in the same tabs.

Re: So I wanna do my own headliner
yeah but I didnt have teh appoxy and by looking at teh tabs there wasnt a whole lot of room for gluing. it was seriously like a little plastic rivit. so once I cut it or melted it out there wouldnt be a lot left to glue to, its sorta hard to explain.
Shop charged me 20 bucks so ---- it, its done right. Pics of finished product soon. I pick up the shade in like 2 hours and ill put it all in around 4 or so.

Re: So I wanna do my own headliner
i snapped one of the guides for my shade. 18 bucks to replace a small plastic peice with a thin piece of metal sucks. on mine the shade handle popped in and out. careful when covering the shade, it may rub.

SO hers teh finished product. ---- is hot.
There is a couple spots i gotta smooth out but other than that Im happy. Total investment was 23 bucks for headliner fabric, 8 for corduroy and like 22 for spray adhesive. So around 50 bones for new headliner.
