i think there cool because there turbo and have nice seats, but dodge build quality is not good, and honda builds stuff well (edit-except there beer-can bodys, make em like saturns and they would be the ----). when i want to be fast i get on my 600cc honda that makes 110hp and runs 10s out the box with a tard driving it

dodge is retarded and i dont think they built that. it probly leaks oil from the factory like vipers too

They did build it, but you can't ride it, it's for show purposes only.

Holy crap I can't believe people are still making this a discussion. There's no questions here people. The car is fast stock, cheap, and upgradeable. only ONE of which your civic qualifies for.

I love the excuse, yeah but it's still just a neon, do you people have any clue how many people use that excuse when talking about your civics? and don't even tell me that you'd still be rocking your d series civic if someone gave you the keys to one of these things right now for free.

And to all the other morons out there saying that they can't get out of the 12's even with tons of power. People, that's the driver's fault, not the car! and since when did 12's become slow for a 4 cylinder? There isn't another car out there right now for the price that can match the srt for power. (except maybe the new mazda 3 that's coming out with the mazdaspeed 276hp motor with AWD) and I love how you conveniently pass over the other positive aspects I mentioned.

Stop hating simply because you don't like them, respect the fact that a car company had the ***** to make a car this good for this price. Look at the new civic Si and tell me that's a better deal right now.

SRT4 and turbo civic have two completely different feels. SRT4 is going to be a more linear powerband due to their turbo combo with their engine. 2.4L engine with that small of a turbo you will not get that "turbo kick" at all due to the fact its going to spool almost right away and make all its power in the midrange, and die off in the top end. All factory turbo cars are midrange minded. None will feel like a typical turbo honda as all of them are 4-8krpm powerband with oversized turbos that make you really feel the turbo kick in. Look at a typical Honda dyno. Its nothing, nothing, nothing, and then the torque curve just yanks up and flattens out. Thats the "turbo kick". You won't see that on a typical OEM car because that kick can cause all sorts of uncontrollable situations. If you put a decent sized turbo on a SRT4, it will move. To put things in perspective, the stock turbo on a SRT4 is like putting a T25 or K03 on your D-series.

i will tell you that i'd rather rock my civic if they gave one to me for free. I'd take it and then sell it. I wouldn't be caught dead driving a ------- neon. I just prefer to drive my japanese econobox over that american piece of ----. /thread
