We used a shipping crate and chicken wire. If not fencepost from homedepot and chicken wire, or just steal your neighbors fencing to build the cage

i used to keep alot of reptile's. Manily lizard's, my last lizard was a savanah mantior the grew to 4'. I made a cage for him i just went a bought 3 4x8 sheet's of plywood 5 2x4x8's and 2 4x8 sheet's of plexie glass
I used one full sheet of plywood as the base/flooring i riped the 2x4 down 1x2's and used those to make the skeleton of the cage. I used one full sheet of plexi glass for the front and the other for the top. I drilled hole's in the top for fresh air. I coved the two side's and the back with the other two sheet's. I used two hinge's and a cabanet door handle for the handle to open the top and a lock on the door(top). I think i had 60-75 dollars into it.

Put em on a plane.

wish I had something to contribute. Chicken wire and wood sounds good for larger snakes

i was thinking more like have a full plexiglass bottom that drops down in one corner to make a small pond (2-3) gallons. then have a water pump move the water from one corner of the cage to the pool again. and make it at least 8 feet tall becuase boa's love climbing. but i don't have any kind of experience working with wood. give me a wrench and im happy, give me a saw and im happier but you have a mess on your hands. also it will be used for baby ball pythons (3) till i feel like switching all of the big snakes ---- over. the sides would be wood, but im kinda limited becuase cedar gives boas and pythons a resparitory infection that could kill them. the i was thinking make a frame of a door for the front and use front door screen material to screen it with. also have to cut out round holes in the wood and cover with mesh for the heat lamps ( 3 for one snake, rediculous.) and uvb lights. and i need to make a small room in the corner of the cage where i can put his heating pads and he can hide in it.
