yah there is definately something ascue.(SP).
Almost 100% of the people who dealt w/ Smokey_civic got their ----.
But the fact that he hasn't returned to the board since we confronted him should be the biggest piece of evidence.

Yeah, ALMOST 100%.
I remember that name. He asked me to send that gauge pod to him with his name(or at least the one he was using)instead of the name that was on the Paypal account, but I guess he ended up opening his own account and sent it. I wonder how many Paypal accounts he has?

I sure hope I get my gauge pod. I had another package shipped from Wisconsin the same day and it JUST arrived today. I'm hoping I get the pod and don't have to deal with paypal.
I think the scam signs are on the wall. First, I get NO traking number due to an excuse about losing the receipt in the rain, next its been 2.5 WEEKS. It shouldn't take THAT long for a package to get from MS to OH but I can understand with the holiday season and all. Third, I sent him an e-mail the end of last week asking him to double check the address he sent it to and I still have no response. Now he's changed his Paypal name? Sounds extremely fishy to me. I certainly hope I'm wrong and it arrives tomorrow or Monday.
If in fact it turns out that I was scammed, a feedback system wouldn't have helped me any. As was said, he had very good feedback. His name appeared numerous times on the good sellers thread. He was also a moderator, someone I thought I could trust.

where do you live? if you're close enough you can keep 10% of what he owes me if you get my money from him, you can keep 25% if I get some good pictures of the event.
