Re: Smoke coming out of valve cover breather
---- me, is there anything I can use to at least hide this while I try to trade in my car?
I've noticed also that the blow by goes away after the car gets warmed up... |

Re: Smoke coming out of valve cover breather
use thick ass oil. that should keep it from blowing by. the smoke doesnt stop after the cars warm you just cant see it anymore:) and i doubt he has broken rings just worn ringlands.
and blow by comes from the piston compressing on the upstroke and the presure getting past the rings and presurizing the crank case |

^^^^^what he said
use 20w-50 helps, engine will make less noise and runs smoother as well. |

Re: Smoke coming out of valve cover breather
this has been covered in the tech section before, and now that the search function works we should use it. I have massive blow-by on my b16 thanks to endless NA 8k rpm rips everytime I drove the car. my breather shoots oil out and smokes like a son of a bitch, so what did I do about all this? I turboed it.
