I rocked the SDA when it first came out, then upgraded to the MDA when it came out a couple weeks later. Loved the MDA but it was buggy and not as well built as the Wing.
Wing has better keyboard, microsd, better software (less buggy, more features), better camera, and spring loaded keyboard that doesn't wear out like the mda's slide. The only complaint I have is that it doesn't have more system memory and still uses the same 195mhz processor as in the MDA.
HTC definitely (in my opinion) builds the best smartphones. Motorola, no. Samsung, not too bad. Try to get an HTC though.

Re: Smart phones
battery life will own you with these smart phones.
I have had the Wing and Dash from Tmobile. Neither of them would last a full day on a full charge.
If you plan on using the "smart phone" for moderate usage of programs and internet surfing and such, I suggest at least another battery with a stand alone charger for that battery along with a wall charger for home, a wall charger for work, and car charger.

Here's a few reviews to back it up:

They all say excellent, I've seen talktime tests going almost 8 hours...sooooooooooo...either you have wifi sitting on all the time, or are on a 3g network for hours, have crappy software, or a crappy battery.
