slick sizing....
Mods, please move if I'm retarded.
I know that there is a mathematical way to figure this out, but I don't know it, I don't want to know it, and I don't care if you know it. I just want a straight up answer. Setup: D16z6, tt rods, srp pistons, acl bearings, GE block guard, t3/t4 .57 trim .60/.63 ar, Tial 38MM at 15lbs (willing to go to 19-20 at the track), LSD extreme 6 puck sprung clutch, stock Z6 tranny, stock Z6 axles, I may be putting in a cheapo LSD in the future, but right now I'm stock. I'm looking to be sitting comfortably in the 11's in the 1/4. I'm going to be running Lensos and I just need to decide if I should get 22x8x13 or 24.5x8.5x13 slicks. Someone here knows. :) |
Re: slick sizing....
You have two ways you can go about it:
1) Tell me vehicle weight, revlimit, and estimated horsepower. All I do is play around on a tire size calculator until your estimated trap speed matches up with mph @ redline in 4th gear. 2) Ask Dr. Boost what tires he runs on his Jeep, because nothing launches harder, nig nog. :6 |
Re: slick sizing....
id say go with the 22's. d seires trannies have long gears and they dont make a ---- ton of power like b series. assuming your revving to 7200 (stock) the 22's will put you at about 122MPH at the top of 4th.

Re: slick sizing....
Z6 tranny with CRX 4th gear on 22's runs 11's 2-3 years ago......
Civic_Tsi, you might have seen the video.....where you think the 4th gear came from? |
Re: slick sizing....
vehicle weight will be around 2000ish (w/ me), redline at 7900, hoping for 300-330 hp......
So, I'm lookin at 22s as of now huh? |

Re: slick sizing....
24.5's fit onto lowered EDs without homo flares.
