Well...I may have to quit the Honda scene. I found a new hobby.

As many know I was off on vacation last week, visiting the family up on Lake Ontario in Northern New York State during my birthday.

The wifey bought me a tandem skydiving session in Gananoque, Ontario and holy ----, what a friggin rush. it was such a sensory overload I dont even remember half of the trip down. I went, my girlfriend and my 53 year old mom went as well.

Well, luckily the shoot opened and we all landed safely. I should have some video and pics up later but right now I am bored at work.

Anyone here been as well?

I looks to be a pretty expensive hobby though...at $250 Canadian per trip, I might have to quit Hondas (j/k)

Theres a couple skydive places by where I live,a dn theyre like $150 for a tandem, and like $30 if you have your own ---- and go by yourself. I wanna go, but im lazy and cheap

There is a small airport 1 town from me that does Dives daily I believe. Supposed to be very reseaonable.

Dave, if you have a name or a website let me know. I know there is a place in Gardener, NY as well that I may go up to when I go again.

I went in NJ last summer. Theres a place called freefall adventures. Its right off of the AC expressway. It was pretty cool cause once you're out of the plane you look to one side and see Philly and on the other there is the ocean. Here's the site.

My buddy knows a place when u can get certified to go on your own for like 150 bucks and they teach u how to properly load ur chut

I have a free coupon for a tandem jump, my sister got it a few years ago as a birthday present but gave it to me. I've been wanting to go this summer, I may do it soon enough.

Your first time you go tandem and you only have to take a 30 min or so course.

ps - $10 says she took a life insurance policy out on your ass before you jumped. wishful thinking on her part 8)

I went solo my first (and maybe last?) time. Cost around 300 bux for training and equip rental etc..

the training is about 4 hours, then they go over it again before you jump. hmm.. when I say solo, there's actually 2 other trainers that hold in the air while freefalling so you dont tumble and ----, till u open your chute.

The hardest part was getting ready to jump off the plane. the cold wind blowing on your face, hands trembling as you hold on the side of the plane then you signal the trainers you;re gonna jump-- you think, ---- it, then jump. The freefall is the best part, its like when you stick out your head at the freeway going 100MPH except you're not in any vehicle. once the chute is open, bleh, thats pretty gay.. just gliding.

Oh ya.. one more thing, make sure you close your mouth while freefalling. Youd be surprised how elastic your face is.

my bro and my dad went indoor skydiving in vegas... It's a circular room with a big ass fan and you just float. The vid for it was so cool

'Wifey' is just another term for my girlfriend that I have been with for 3+ years, whom I live with and constantly get bugged about when I am going to pop the question.

But someday I hope to have both a wife and a girlfriend who know about each other and occasionally like to make out with each. Oh ----...I was just dreaming there for a second.
