So, I've had this infected bump on the back of my left hand for a little less than a week now. About the second day it had the backside of my hand pretty swollen, but then it went down... I kinda meant to cut it open and clean it out, because it wasn't healing super quick, but I suck at life.

It started swelling last night while at work. My left arm started hurting, too. Woke up this morning + didn't notice it at first, but I have a couple thick red lines running from my hand to my armpit from blood poisoning; sounds stupid, but my forearms are tanned so it's really really hard to make out, and the lines run along the inside of my bicep which I don't exactly flip my arm around to look at a lot. Aw, ----. So, I go to one of the local Urgent Cares (discount clinic for light duty emergency medical... think 1/3rd rate emergency room where nobody's dying) and sit for about an hour.

Doc is pretty cool, actually listens to me about what antibiotics I've had an allergic reaction to (most don't, and then prescribe me what I'm deathly allergic to ie azithromycin/Zithromax), and then sends me out with free samples of Biaxin/clarithromycin. By midafternoon I've got a pretty good fever... stumble through Wally World for spare bandages for the hand + Gatoraid to stay hydrated since I'll obviously be bed ridden while I wait for antibiotic serum levels in my blood to come up (think early AM Monday).

Just woke up, arm hurts, main red line is thick as one of my fingers, my hand is cold as ---- while my forearm is visibly swollen and hot. Time to soak it in hot water to improve circuilation. I feel pretty dizzy and feverish. It's going to be interesting to see if I have an allergic reaction to the Biaxin - if I do, I'm probably good and fucked.

For the record, I die and I want my boy Caveman to get my turbo car (some assembly required).

Zithromax>Biaxin. But Biaxin isn't that bad either. I just remember taking it as a kid and having to take it in liquid form. It was chunky and gross. Whats the actual amount of time you are supposed to take Biaxin? I know Zithromax is a 5 day thing and you don't feel better till the 3rd or 4th. I'd imagine Biaxin is about the same or longer. Sounds like you might need to end up on IV antibotics if you aren't feeling better tomorrow.

It is bacterial in nature, I figure the bitch gave me hand herpes when I was rubbing her clit. Come to find out she railled four other guys at work the two years she was there; I'm the only one who waited until she was 18 and broken up with her bf (who also works there, and is a good dude). Who knows what she fucked outside of work she apparently wasn't choosy. God bless her heart, though, we need more attractive -----s.
