SI Seats question.
I have a set of 91 crx si seats and want to put them in my 90dx hatch. the rails from the si dont fit the car and the rails from the dx dont fit the si seats what have you guys done in the past.

Re:SI Seats question.
make new holes on the frame or the rails.

Re:SI Seats question.
yea i know the part i love The Hack. i was wondering if there was any other way.

Re:SI Seats question.
if you have welding skills you can weld the civic rails on the rex seats. i used the "hack" for awhile but that sucked balls. :'(

Re:SI Seats question.
my hacking skills are far better than my welding. maybe i can pop rivet ;)

Re:SI Seats question.
DO NOT drill the car, drill the seat rails.

Re:SI Seats question.
drill your mom

Re:SI Seats question.
Seriously?? I thought those swapped right over... damn, I was gonna do the same thing

Re:SI Seats question.
Probably cuz you're trying to put CRX seats in a civic. crx fits crx, civic fits civic, remember the civic is longer hense different spacing.

Re:SI Seats question.
They are also off by a significant amount. I've got a set of CRX seats in my basement without the motivation to hack them up for an install. DO NOT RIVET THEM IN. This would be a significant safety issue. Rivets are designed to take shear loading, (side to side forced) not straight up and down.
I looked at modding the seat bottom in order to fit the civic rails but it didn't really look doable. -Michael |
