Should I get LSD?
 

I have a 94 b18c and im considering to go turbo soon and boost around 7 psi. My third gear synchros were going bad so I wanted to replace em and throw some lsd in there while im at it. Would it be neccessary to spend my money on an lsd if im only boosting 7psi? I'm limited on cash and I rather put my money towards something else. Is it really gonna make a difference in quarter mile times? Also I was looking getting an obx lsd or just the honda lsd. Which one would be better to get? I heard obx were pretty nice if done the right way, and they also sometimes they need slight modification for them to fit, but other wise drive real nice. THe only reason I was considering the obx was that it seemed good for the money that's what ive been mostly hearing. Will a honda Lsd be be realiable on the boost im looking to go with? THanks, Hopefully I didn't ask to many random questions. :)

If you were only running 7 psi, I really wouldn't even bother

anytime you boost a car your gonna want lsd to get the power to the ground. it will definetly make a diffrence in 1/4 mile time. the obx is sweet and holds good power. the honda one is expensive. the obx will work.just get a b16 lsd trans and save the hassel.

Depends on your wants. If you want Auto-X or Road Course you would find it beneficial. But for Straight Line I have Cut 1.9's on DR's with my one wheel wonder. When I make more power I would think about it but with what you plan to do money could be better spent elsewhere.

Why would I need a b16 trans if im gonna want lsd? Wouldn't the gsr tranny be better because of the longer gear ratios causing the engine to hold boost for a longer period of time?

Wouldn't it be a little less expensive to just buy LSD and throw it in my gsr trans. Also which trans would be better for a turbo setup the b16 trans or the gsr trans? I also wanted to clarify that this will be a daily driven car, and I would like to have quick quarter-mile times but at the same time have a good daily driver.

7psi is where it all starts next thing you know you want more MORE MOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, next thing you known ur up to 15psi and suckin cock for cylinder walls so u can push more, dont lie to yourself man
