Should I Buy This Car?

http://www.usedottawa.com/classified...ry=sports-cars

It's 90 Prelude Si with 185k KM mint condition.

Pretty cheap too. How do these engines hold up?

Re: Should I Buy This Car?

personally, I would consider it if it was strictly for a commuter car that will remain 100% stock.

if looking for a new toy/project, I would pass. that car has the bastard B-series that doesn't bolt up with anything from the other b-series.
But if you are intent on getting it for a project, I think LSDmotorsports can aid in supplying a turbo manifold that will work.

I wouldn't pay 1500 for it though, i'd rather buy a different car other than that.

Hell I'd asked for a ride on the back of a gay circus clown before riding in that thing. Nice bottlecap beemer wheels. Those cars are good for taking tire irons to at the junkyard and smashing out windows and ---- like that.

Re: Should I Buy This Car?

Why are they a hassle? I don't know much about them really.

Re: Should I Buy This Car?

I would get it, i have one as a DD. They are really fun cars to drive and are easy to work on(just like any other honduh). dont listen to everyone else on here, for 1500 and a mint body thats a good price. Check out preludepower.com, its the largest 3rd gen community. some guy on the site is making 400+ hp with the b20a5

Re: Should I Buy This Car?

The hassle per se, is because the engine and tranny dont bolt up to other B series engines or transmissions, and all the mounts and such are all sorts of fucked up, although I have seen where people did a "b20vtec" swap on it.

Question, whats the difference between this head and say LS heads and B20 heads, they the same? I might grab one if the head is good. :)

My friend got this one for $400:

Fun beater, needed a new trans and other than that runs like a champ!

Re: Should I Buy This Car?

right now there is a write up on putting a vtech head on the b20a5 block i belive, but i havent seen anyone successfully do it yet. there is this other guy on the forum that swapped in a built N/A gsr, but never did a write up or anything for it. so it is possible. I really love these cars tho, they handle like they are on rails in stock form. if anything they do make the best daily drivers

werd. but I belive that they are poopie :P

For a daily driver they don't seem to bad provided that you keep it stock. I just wouldn't pay 1500 for one, don't think it's worth that ,uch.

Re: Should I Buy This Car?

In case you guys didn't notice, the car was already sold by the time the seller replied.

I remember driving on of those and it handled like ----, not sure if that specific car had fucked suspension or not.
