Default Shopping for a torque wrench

Ever hear of SK Tools? I've heard of the Gear Wrench ppl, but I dunno. I'm too cheap to buy a snap on (using it for 1 motor re-build, that's it)

What do u guys think?

IIRC S-K used to have tool trucks just like MAC and Snap-on.

Why would you just use the torque wrench on the engine, every bolt on the car has a torque spec.

Cuz I usually am too lazy or sell a car before I have to do any work on the brakes/suspension haha.

Most other things you can hand tighten.

but why guess when tightening a bolt? If the manual has a torque spec use the wrench.

SK is a pretty good brand of tools.

SK is a good brand

i was talking to the Team Torque guys when they were at our shop calibrating our wrenches... http://www.teamtorque.com/...and they said that the cheap Craftsman torque wrenches are actually really good and stay in calibration for a long time. as long as you get the round body ones he said

I bought a very used snap on for next to nothing, paid about $50 to send it back to snap-on and have it fixed.

A Gearwrench Torque wrench resides in my box. Never had a problem with it. Doesnt feel as heavy as a snapon, and compared the two when I first got it. It was dead on with the snapon, which I sold for more than I paid for the gearwrench.
