Shop trying to "patent" block filling?

Shop trying to "patent" block filling?
stumbled across some shop here locally that does block filling for a "fee" as an alternative to sleeving, there trying to patent it but its already been around n all kids of people do it? i dont get it.

i was gonna go til i saw that. makes me think twice bout the shop. they tried fixing headless's coupe n it broke already haha. n they charged him 130 or some ----.
