shmokin vtecs
stupid question, on honda-tech i read its normal for vtec engines to smoke when vtec is engaged, is this true? i don't really understand how that could happen or why honda would even do that in the first place

Re: shmokin vtecs
it means "the mad scientist is going to have to rip apart your block and replace those pistons rings you fried" .............................lol.................. . but seriously your rings are going more thna likely ..do a compression test and see how it checks out if if checks out alright then it could be your valve seals in the head ..hope this lil piece of info helps

Re: shmokin vtecs
oh yeah?... hmm... i wondered because it didn't seem right that honda would design their engines so that they would smoke... i've been looking it up a little bit because if i go above roughly 4500 (doesn't happen a lot as is, but sometimes people **** ya off) i get some white smoke, not burning any oil nor is the coolant going down any either... i think i might tap into the vtec wire and check to see if it does only smoke when vtec is engaged or if its just above a certain rpm...
anybody else ever hear of anything about this?

Re: shmokin vtecs
this happens alot when ricers keep their engine buried in the revlimiter while driving. My faggish friend burnt the rings in his new ------- prelude in under month because he thought all of the power came after the redline...
