shitty week and some questions
So, tuesday was going well. Some chic at work I've been wanting to spend "quality" time with asked me about getting together for lunch the next day, I got my fat check cashed with my expired license with no problem, and was heading home.
Two semi's pulling steel flatbed trailers that they haul around construction equipment with were in the left lane. I can't remember why, but they were going slow as ----...I think they just got onto the highway from an intersection. Anyway, since I was going highway speed, I stayed in my right lane and started passing them. I passed one, and the truck in front of him decided to cut into my lane. I tried to avoid it, and woke up in a hospital. Came out better than I expected with only about 30 stitches in my head, eye, and lip, and a shitton of pain. Cop told me one witness said I was going about 80, but he didn't believe it because I would have been dead. Said the other trucker said I ran into the back of the truck...right. My license was suspended at the time, I had finally got the papers to get it reinstated that SAME ------- DAY and I figured I couldn't do ---- legally. Cop I talked to today said I should take it to court like the illegal immigrants do. What do you guys think? Don't think there are any witnesses on my side and I had a suspended license (which is now valid again). Haven't got the police report yet. Came home the night afterwards, and someone had stolen a lot of ---- out my apartment. A couple xbox 360s, couple monitors, a phone, guitar, home theater receiver, and car wash supplies?? Files a police report for that as well. Basically I got fucked hard without lubrication this weekend. I have two non-running cars, no time to fix them. The integra's timing belt snapped at highway speeds. Think I could just get away with a new timing belt or should I go ahead and replace the head? damn man that sucks about your house too and yourself at that. wakin up to find yourself in a hospital sucks... :X your lucky your arent dead. hope ya get everything squared away with the police.

you guys gotta be careful trying to pass tractor trailers on the right, there are massive blind spots in their mirrors. Somtimes there is a reason why they are taking up the left lane, somtimes to make turns or clear bridges etc... But anyway, wow sounds like your week has been quite the pisser

Wouldn't part out your car yet. I am in the middle of the same situation. Cop wasn't sure what happened so instead of growing some balls, deemed neither at fault. I'd get in contact with an attorney. Since you have significant injuries (hospital/ambulance)...Their insurance is much more likely to be cooperative

It's not really that I was trying to pass them on the right. I can't remember why they were going so slow on the left, or even where on the highway we hit, I think the trucks had just merged onto the highway from the left, then tried to get into the slow lane and didn't see me. Turn signals would have been nice also I think it was too late at that point anyway.
I had two xbox 360s because 3 people lived here. There are also two 50" plasmas that the theif didn't touch so I'm guessing it was some punkass kid grabbin a few things and leaving. |

Damn man, that does suck...but you are lucky to have woke up at all, after tanglin' up with 2 semi's in a honda @ highway speeds...Call that broad up, and have her come over and nurse you back to health. That always makes me feel better. :y

Sucks man, glad your ok though, yeah stay the ---- away from semi's on the right side....bad news. reguardless who's fault you tend to lose. hold on to your ----, you'll get back on track soon....look on the bright side though...at least you dont have to look for a front end anymore..... ;)

I've been waiting on you to post. I figured you got dual fucked so I would wait and post in your thread. I was the other room-mate who's stuff got jacked. Casey (the guy from Track Masters I got it from) said that other LS head was in perfect running condition when they took the motor out. Guy just swapped in a vtach for his turbo setup. You can use that, there are also those LS rods/pistons in my block you can have if there is any piston damage.
Let me know when you want to do the swap and I will help. Shouldn't take that long if we really get on it. Are you working? If not I can come up there and we can knock it out in a day if you have all the parts. |

good luck I got the car towed from the junkyard to my friends house and they cut me a deal for only $150 for storage and towning fees Thanks doug we're going to try and fix it tomorrow, some stitches come out today |
