Default shaved emblems illegal?

Sorry guys its a bit long...
I heard something i think is weird today and i was wondering if this had happened to anyone else or if you heard of it. I say this becuase it concerns my ride. A friend of mine owns a body shop and he said that he needed to put the front hood and back trunk emblem back onto a civic that he had painted. He said that the cops had pulled the guy over and gave him a warning that he needed the emblems on his car.
Why this concerns my ride is that its in for a fresh coat of paint, and ive shaved all the emblems off, shaved the trunk and its about to be painted so i was like what the ----?
ps. my cars and thge other guys car are bioth honda civics

I could see why they would require it though, if by chance the vehicle was involved in a crime, and eye witness ca say, 'it was a black Chevy monte carlo' rather than, 'um officer I don't know what to tell you, all I know is that it was a black car.'

So it may be illegal, but it is hardly ever enforced if it is. I wouldn't worry about it. I'd still roll with out them, it they bitch for them, just put a small stiker on or something. I have a few from my R/C cars that are the size of a dime

I'm in Ontario Canada. I have gotten pulled over for safety checks due to street racing in the area. (wasn't racing, just drving at the wrong time of the day I guess) and they did not mention anything. Most custom painted cars in my area have no emblems.

I actually got a parking ticket at my friends school and the make of car she put down was "Honda(perhaps)". We had a goot laugh about that one!

haha, that's funny. Never heard of anything like that before. I wonder what kind of hard time these conversion cars give. I remember an eclipse that had s2000 tails and jdm silva headlights, with a bodykit. Didn't look like an eclipse no more, it was really hard to tell it was, but yeah, I wonder what a ticket lady would write for that.

the only emblem on my truck is on the front and is covered by a frog. when I got a parking ticket they just put toyata pickup, I should have said there's no way it's my car because I have a tacoma, not a pickup.

kyle you shoulda tried it.

I actually got a parking ticket at school for my car. I had no plates on it, so they put down the vin. On their automated system they have my ole plate number, i changed it, and on the ticket they threaten that if it's not paid in 90 days they will report it to the dmv and put a hold on my car's registration. Well I just got my new tags, and I got the ticket in feb. and have yet to pay it. :P I wonder how much it is at now.

they dismissed it because it was my first one, I'll do it if I ever decide to park on campus again. or I'll just take off the license plate and cover the vin with some paper.
