The mechanical engineering department here at Clemson University is working with michilen on the tweel. They have a few being tested at the school. They are pretty cool.

My old roommate is working on the research. Pretty niffy!

i was watching either TLC or the discovery channel they aired a program that had a short segment about the "tweel". dont know when we'll seem them on the road, but it's definitely a realistic look into the future.

They are trying to put the tweel on everything, it is a really good idea. I have even seen them talking about putting them on mining equipment.

i doubt it will look like that for production, thats probably just to get investors attention.

I think they left it open like that so you can see the innards. they'll probably have more rubber overtop of that part if it does get produced, so it looks similar to a normal tire

I wonder how those would hold up under some hard launches? Like would those spoke twist and kinda give you a rubber band effect or just snap?
