Sears Labor Day Sale

I;ve been looking to pick up a decent set of tools and sears is having a sale this weeked. $189 for their 263 pc set. Is this a decent price or will their prices drop lower in the coming months for sales?

That is similar to why I bought originally, but I didn't think it was that expensive, and don't buy it because of that case those things suck

I work there...cases arent bad...alot better then the normal suitcase style ones that everything falls off the slots....but if u guys want to ROLL in style get the ball bearing drawers with the foam place mat.

I have one of these: http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...cemldffidflk.0

I almost always keep it in the car. I buy a few extra tools (wire cutters, torx bits, pliers etc..) and keep them in the center portion of the box. Still the one you are looking at sounds like a good deal.

I have yet to see a quality tool cabinet from Sears. Even their "pro" series is junk compared to all the high end stuff.

You are at like a buck a tool with that kit. That's pretty cheap! If you don't have many tool now, I say buy it. If you have a ton of stuff now, then don't waste your money on a kit. Spend it where you need it.

Get some socket rails. They're cheap and will save you lots of time because you'll be turning the fastener instead of looking for the socket that rolled away....

I have that tool box, dont like the box at all, but the tools it came with arn't bad, good selection, i just put them on the wall instead of in a box, makes everything alot faster to get too. Also got the crafstman ratchet wrence set. I think they are defanetly a MUST have. They are lifesavers on some things.
