seal on axel to tranny
 
anyone know the best way to get this seal outta there? the seal that is between the axel and the differental

A seal puller ;) .. or a good size wrench, or even a screw driver. Becareful not to scratch the housing of the tranny when prying the seal out.

i just use a fatty ass flat screw driver

k i got it out... but this little round spring thing came out also... where does that go back in there?

that goes inside the seal. if that round spring thing doesnt seat. it'll leak. that was probably your problem all along. just get a new one and pop it in. i usually put the old seal on top of the new one and hammer it in

you have me confused, your saying your put a new seal in then your old one on top of that ? uhh that wouldnt work =P

haha, he's saying he uses the old seal to drive in the new seal.

thanks for your help guys, i got the new one in... it came with its very own spring thingy :)

and i think it was leaking because of that spring thing.. it had a tweak in it...
