i just needed them so my carbon hood wouldnt flop to the side from just having the hood prop on them! there was actually a reason..

take the springs out of the hinges.

also, if its CF, it shouldnt really matter if it bends a little. -from flexing.

...and those hood dampners are probably worse than anything. only thing you need hood dampners for are so it doesnt fly up when you open the hood. removing the springs from the hinges will do the exact same thing. some dampners wont help your hood when its proped. dumbass ::)
