very true, but pick the best soft tip and hollowpoint of each round. the AK will win until it becomes subsonic, then it still may win. Only reason the AR is good at far distances is because it stays subsonic at far distances and will have a better chance at fragmenting. Its a pointless neverending arguement and has been argued everywhere already. The way i see it, is if someone said im going to shoot you with either a .223 or a 7.62x39, id have to take the .223

illegal to own, or use an ak47, cuz ak47 are 100% legal in the rest of the us as long as they are semi-auto.

What the hell are you talking about? If I can get a legal AK in CA, I'm sure you can get them in damn near every other state. And of course they arent full auto.
