. When you buy ----, you should think about what you're buying. If it is a motor, there is a good chance something could be wrong with it even though it ran fine and the owner was honest about it. Yes it sucks when ---- isnt as planned, but thats how it is with USED car parts. If you really want to buy something like this, you should ask to pull the head and pay for the new hg and ---- if you dont buy it, and also pull a rod cap to check the bearings. Thats the only way to buy a motor and be sure about it. So what does this mean? Dont buy a motor and get it shipped unless you are ready to get one that has problems. Its no ones fault except the machine shop most likely. Sorry this is so long but im tired of people getting raw deals and posting about it, no offense frank or ssl2k, it happens all the time.

ya know. im not as pissed about the motor as i could be. i honestly dont think that josh tried to send me a fucked up motor. he did state something wasnt 100% perfect with it, but he thought it was the head, and sent me a different head. and the way the cyl walls look, and everything else, i would think it would run 100% fine, for a while, if i put it all together and threw it in a car this weekend. it just wouldnt last very long if raped like the motor is built to do.
and blowing you up on other web sites....i simply stated nothing but the facts. I didnt exagerate anything. i didnt want you to do the same stupid ---- to others, thats all. it sucks the facts are that bad.
the thing that still pisses me off...
why did you tell me you shipped the other stuff about 2.5 weeks ago, when you still havent shipped it? if you couldnt send it out when you said you could, i wouldve understanded, or been more understanding anyways.
you did ship the motor within a reasonable about of time. i will give you that.
im glad that jermey, the person whos stuff this really is, isnt home in the states, because im 99% sure you would've been paid a visit, even if it meant a 10 hour drive. not a threat, simply stating the truth again.
what really sucks is that jermey trusted me to purchase a good motor for him, hes sending me his hard earned money to build him a sweet motor for when he gets back from iraq to drop into a car he doesn't even have yet. it will still be a sweet set-up, its just gonna cost a few more dollars than expected.
so josh, when is the other stuff gettin here? have you shipped it yet? do you have proof of a receipt, or a tracking number?
*ohh yeah, josh also sent me a pm sayin he would make things right.

I would buy a turbo on line.Maybe even a bare block.But what the ---- are you doing spending over a G on a motor you cant physically inspect?!!!Thats just asking to get shafted.Specially buying it frome numb nuts there.

there's been quite a few o fthese type of threads lately.
hotrex was banned from the classifieds for a reason, and it was his shipping methods. i highly doubt that he sent a fucked up motor on purpose, but you can't say you didn't expect delays in shipping.
