more like 15 dollars cheaper than Eagle rods. You can get eagles for 300 shipped.

Go with Tunertoys H beams, I got them in my car, very impressed.

IMO, scat sucks. There is numerous websites that talk about their lack of quality in products, casting defects, stength issues....... Step up at at least get eagle or something better.

There's nothing wrong with Scat anything (cranks, rods, etc). I just wouldn't expect Crower build quality from their Honda rods.

Re: SCAT RODS yes or no?

I'm using scats in my ZC because they were the cheapest H beams I could find at the time. Had I known about the TT rods I would have bought those instead.

Re: SCAT RODS yes or no?

TT are out of stock. I have contacted him and he is expecting them in about 3-4weeks. If you contact him, he'll keep you in his address book and let you know when he has some.

He is also looking into pistons, he's not too sre when he will be getting them, but He said he'd know better in a few weeks also.

If I can't get TT Rods, I was thinking of getting SCATs. But if I can find Eagle for a good price that would be my first choice.

I've seen more Crower rods break at 600hp than Eagles :1

Re: SCAT RODS yes or no?

they cost more so they must be better ::) i guess wiseco pistons must suck also since they're cheaper than srp's, cp's, and almost every other forged piston on the market.

Yea, I wonder why Endyn uses the crappiest pistons you can get? ::)

Re: SCAT RODS yes or no?

id buy wiseco all day long if they were the cheapest, at 11k rpms in a 250 2stroke, if it holds up to that on my bike it trust them.

I'm thinking Wiseco pistons and eagle rods for my buildup

I place my vote on tunertoy's rods . Mine should be on the way. I shopped the hell out of rods and he has the best deal.

IMO, you know nothing about Hondas, have never built one, and should stfu.

SCAT is the exact same Chinese made forging that Eagle uses. Any cosmetic differences are from the in-house finish machining, and the not-so-cosmetic differences are from fastener selection.

Brad Z, engine builder extraordinaire, recommends whichever you can get the cheapest because "they are both the exact same thing, a copy of the Carillo, which is the best rod ever made." Multiple Pro-Stock, NHRA, Winston Cup, NDRA NA Street Class, I have no clue what class the 9 second turbo street Civic is in, records and wins don't lie. *shrug*
