It helps a lot to have a steep hill too, then you don't need to use the highest gear to get the desired full throttle time to make sure everything works right.
In the UK it's common to compete about top speed where they do 1.25 mile runs, those take around 30 seconds to finish and any car that has only been mapped on a chassis dyno _will_ blow it's engine when it attempts that.

I agree with JK and that was one HUGE plus to the dyno. His roads aren't very street tune freindly AT ALL. Besides I don't boost in 5th, and only run the 1/4 mile at the track. Worst I had it was prior to this tune and never more than this on a stock block was 4th gear 117mph. It's fine. I must be honest with you and say I've NEVER heard of any other way to really tune besides 3rd gear pulls. I heard of Mustangs doing 4th gear pulls, but that's it.
