so when the guy says they are wanting to put in a nissan silvia rear end... what exactly do they plan to accomplish... yes i know the silvia has a tougher rear end but why not just get one built... i mean if it was me i would rather the toyota supra rear end... well i guess if they are trying to go for cheap then good solid silvia rear end wouldnt be bad... i wonder how much modifing they have to do to get that ---- to fit... hey the state side 240 ... isnt that the same rear end... or does if have a bigger final gear... just curious...

plus the whole put an inline or a v8 in an rx is way over rated... just put an enuos 3 rotor in it... just my opinion...

inline pro makes a kit to mount a 300zx rear into an S2000. the rear end really isnt a prob for 99.9% of s2k drivers. only people making big power really have to worry unless you are launching the car hard on a daily basis and even then it isnt a big problem. its your typical HT hype

Not so true. My friend had his S2k bone stock for a month, the rear end let go twice on the highway. It's hit or miss with the factory stuff, and he drove it relatively gentle. But anything over about 350whp, and they are toast. Doesn't matter how you drive them at that point

I saw pics of that about a week after he completed it back in October on a local forum. Its about a 1.5-2hrs west of me.

sometimes ---- just happens. a friend of mine was towing a car and the rear end on his dodge ram took a ---- at 60mph. he did a 180 on the highway and almost lost the car off the trailer

Thank god when my rear end went out in my 86 it was just the pinion/ring gears that had all the teeth sheared off instead of the diff blowing and locking up. I was just driving on my way to work going about 70. It started making a nasty sound and it acted like a clutch that went out. The lights were on but nooone was home. I would of ---- my pants if would of blew out and locked it up and mostlikely caused an accident. Oh.. what was this post about? lol
