look up the spec, throw that gage on there, and make sure the pressure doesnt drop below spec.

My truck was giving us sporadic problems with rough idle and loss of power and it was driving us mad trying to troubleshoot it. pressure was great on startup so we assumed it was good, but then it dropped off a couple pounds. It was just enough to make it struggle a little. My opinion: it was caused from replacing the pump with an advanced auto junker. 'lifetime guarentee' meant jack ---- after dropping the tank a few times and having it last only a few months gets old. Threw in a gm one and havn't had a problem since.

could be fuel pressure stick the gauge on the schrader valve and tape it to the windshield so you can keep an eye on it. If it dies with out fuel pressure changing then its not a fuel pressure issue. does the spark look good??

my friends dad has the same truck it has gone through 2 fuel pumps in the last 6 months so im thinking fuel pump again

Nope, the fuel pressure comments are the right place to start, those ******* are damn touchy....I was referring to the "put this in, put this in, my sister's cousin's grandpa had this fail in is truck once so put this in" comments.
