RWD turboV6 Civic for fun?????
 

i was thinkin about how much fun it would be to have a HB civic with a turbocharged V6 chevy or buick motor with rear wheel drive..... it sounds like it would be a killer car to drift.....that metro on another post here gave me the idea of it...... not everyday you see a civic on the road thats not riced out.... but has balls to play with the big boys right??????

ill race you in my 502 powered integra...you will have a slight weight advantage but ill get you top end nigga.

.....of course any high hp motor in a light ass car is going to be fun. practical? probably not

i build it and it will terrorize the streets and be one hell of a car to drive thats for sure.....im lookin into the motor combos right now.....the suspension will be a little tricky and probally the stock civic front brakes will be kept while the rear will be altered with the new driverterain..... after doin some math with weight, and motor/trans i will report back......

if you look around you should be able to find the swift with a grand national motor. should be on teamswift also but i sold my geo over a year ago and dont go over there much. i think that is where i saw it

Ive seen a 4 door civic on ebay a while back that had a twin turboed V6 accord engine with rear wheel drive, they did a straight job on the whole setup to. Built good, but like what you are saying not common but itd be different to see.

i would rather see a 572 in a civic then an s2k motor. RWD civics and any other stupid ass idea like that are pointless. kudos for u if u can pull it off. but when ur done what do u have? a rwd car that will break alot and have no balls unless u dump even more money into. buy and ls1 or a 240sx if u want rwd dont heavily modify a car jsut to have the wheels spin at one end instead of the other

i think a gran national motor owns a s2k one. and one of the rwd swifts was built so it could be registered as an amature built car and be able to turbo it the opther one is a drag car. so while it whould be fun if it is a dd just turbo a b

Im a honda guy through and through, but I think I'm going with this guy. Seriously, hondas are made for FWD. If you want RWD, dont buy a honda, get something that has RWD already and put the money you would spend converting to RWD into making it go. :6

honda tuning magazine had an awd integra made with a crv drivetrain, then took out the front axles to make it RWD..they were doing donuts and such...takes a lot of work/welding.

SBC Chevy RWD 4 door Accord was done about 4 years ago, fabed in in Cincy OH, Was sold on Ebay twice.

Same shop did the S2000 swap into a Miata, about 5-6 miles from the house.

the s2000 miata is something i would love. iif i ever venture to the rwd world its gunna be a miata. they are real fun to drive
