my rear bumper rusted and is now free haning on one side. i heard this is 'honda' rust, and most honda's i've ever seen have the rust above the fender well. how can i get it out? today i am gong to get a piece of all thread and 2 nuts and 2 washers and fix it that way. think it will work? of coarse it will bitch's.

This isn't a writeup but it might be advantageous for you to buy a book on the subject. I have rust repairs pending on my mustang and I was at the Mcnally-Robinson bookstore and found a fairly good book callled "How to Restore Classic Car Bodywork" by Martin Thaddeus. The examples are mostly british cars but the techniques and methods are the same regardless of car make. Lots of color pictures and examples of different types of repairs.

I don't understand why people go to all the trouble of using fiber glass when you can just get new 1/4 pannels from cetra fit/other places for around $50 a side, bamb, you've got another 10 +/- years of life in the quarters and it was done right. For me, it'd be faster but I'm not big into fiberglass.
