ROLL CAGE help
OK! IM not planing on getting a rollcage yet. not till my car can push 200+hp. But i have this one thing that i keep thinking about, i wanted to know if a rollcage, was better bolt-on or welded.
1. WHats better bolt-on or welded. 2. if welded can it be painted (powder colted) after installed. 3. WHat can i excpect a welded 6point roll cage to cost to get welded. 4. ANyplace in CT(near HARTFORD) Thanx for the help! |
Re:ROLL CAGE help
1) welded
2) paint it if you dont wnat hte welds to rust after time 3) no idea 4) no idea |
Re:ROLL CAGE help
you can do either. bolt on will make it removeable if your car is daily driven. I believe when you reach a certain ET (at LEGAL drag strips) the NHRA requires you to have a 6point welded roll cage. I believe that time is 11.99. Then when you get into the 10's you need a full cage or something like that. Yes you can paint them, and why shouldnt you? Looks better and lasts longer. Cost. I read in Honda Tuning, they got a full 6point welded cage done in a crx for 900 US. and #4, I have no clue.
