----!! A damn rock hit my windshield!!! The crack was about three inches long at first. This happened 4 days ago and now the crack is about 7 inches long. When I washed it it got even bigger...LOL. That ---- is expensive to fix. Anybody else got some cracked windshield stories? Like some caving in or something?

Yeah heres one. I was driving behind a caddi on I-95 about a year ago and next thing you know it flings up one of those 18wheeler tire treads and nails my winsheild and came halfway in the car. Dented my roof and knocked my side mirror off too. ---- a rock!

i haver heard if you get the liscens plate of a 18 wheeler and say that a rock fell of the truck theyll pay for it

i hear the same thing. i had a rock come off an 18 wheeler and put a solid dent in my hood, then break my windshield. i got a new one cuz glass in ma is free. then i punched out my own windshield after a very bad weekend. so just got another one. my story doesnt sound as much fun tho

If you have license plate of the truck, when, where, etc. they'll replace the windshield for you. Just make sure you get the number on the back of the truck if its there too.

Like you'll ever be thinking of the plate number when your winsheild gets hit. A small pebble maybe, but anything else and you'll just be thinking about going to the side of the road.

true true, i just remembered something, it doesn't have to do with a rock or a windshield, but one day I was driving down the freeway, with the windows rolled down and my arm out the window (SoCali is ------' hot and gotta keep myself entertained) I was doin' about 80 and all of the sudden, whack! a ------' small rock/big pebble smacks my hand. That ---- hurt like a bitch and left the rock's shape in my palm. Did I learn my lesson, you bet I didn't, still do that same ---- to this day, just not as much.

Guys, just drive around town, look for a dump truck hauling rocks. Get all the info on that bitch, time of day and everything then "say" the rock came from that truck.

You might want to check your local state laws, glass is covered under insurance in some states, call up a local glass/window shop and they will know.

I need a window pretty bad on the K5, it has a few cracks going all thru it, and I still drive it on the trails and hit more branches it's going to cave in on me, I need to fix that ---- soon.. ---- paying $250 for another one, I'm gonna pull one out of a junk yard and do it myself.


punching thru windows cause you're have a bad day is never a smart idea, I hope you cut the ---- out of your hand.

I got a windshield storry. This had happened about 4 months ago, I had just fixed all my boost leak so I was pretty happy. The following Saturday morning I decided to test it out. So I brought out my crx with the worst body ever, the hood is tied down by two sparkplug wires, i was roling on steelies. So I got on an empty stretch of hw and stepped on it. 3 gears, 98 mph and 5 psi later, the hood popped. Both sparkplug wires broke, the hood smashed my windshield, cave down my roof/headliner hit my head and blocked all my view. It was fun.
