Alright well maybe im trippin out or something but i was going threw some of my pics from when my friend blew up his car awhile back and i noticed that in the pic it appears to be a closed deck engine?? As far as i know it was a d16a6?? I thought all d series were open deck?? Was there even a closed deck d series?? I dont know tons about the d series but it just seemed weird to me.

I think some D series JDM motors were closed deck. I def could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure my D15B vtec motor was, but thats been years since i had the head off that thing.
