not sure if anyone has mentioned it but get a little bbq set up or just a grill with a fire under it and throw all your wires on it and just melt it off. thats what the guys do around here. make sure your scrap yard is ok with that because sometimes they will deny it or at least hold off for a month to pay you in fear of it being stolen. a lot of places in washington are doing this now because of the increase of copper being stolen. copy your license and wont cut you a check for a month. but i think thats for anything worth 500$+ anything little they usually dont worry especially if its clean and looks legit.
they got a couple different prices for wires, copper 1 and copper 2 or some ----. basically i think its the thickness on the wire someone correct me if im wrong. the best thing to do is find old famers that want you to clean up there land. go check it out and if they have some copper or something worthwhile go for it. the best is finding buckets of broken sprinkler heads and aluminum pipe. makes it worth your while to clean up the steal. but i doubt you have much farm land where you live.
