Glad my doors all use different keys ahaha

I think just stealing the car is easier.

i work at a dealer, we do it all the time. go in with your title/registration and drivers license that matches proving its your car and they can cut you a key. we charge $7.98 for the key, cutting, and getting the code for the key...

this is all assuming that the ignition has not been changed since Honda built it...
How many years do they go back? i couldnt get one made for my civic because it was too old?

I had one made for my brother. The parts guy printed me some numbers that he said to keep because they are getting rif of the older key info. It was a 91. So I stapled it to the title, and havn't worried since.

There was a news story last year in Minneapolis about all different dealerships that were cutting keys without the proof of ownership. The Honda dealership I go to told me, "we need to start having the title present b/c people are stealing cars with the keys." Man do I feel safe. lol.

Lucky for me I swapped my dash. I just left the old VIN on the dash. I have my real one in the garage.

im sorta in the same boat with you there. the current vin on the dash is the vin the car is registered to. the vin on the door jam and firewall is different. havent gotten to them yet. but the car the dash came out of was the "registered" car and has since been crushed... get the hint... if not i dont have the title for it but i do................................................ ....
