recent pics of my car and 3" exhaust

well, i haven't posted any progress on my car lately, so this is what i've been up to lately other than the usual ripping people off and stuff.

my new 3" exhaust, not quite finished, but not bad for about 200 bucks for full 3" turbo back including muffler, flex section, v band and all other materials, i figure i saved about 400 bucks. still have to finish the axle back, but here's what i got so far. i'm also a shittly welder and that's flux core with no gas with a miller 135

midsection with v band connection for dp

the down pipe

my new turbo to IC charge piping, it use to be 2" and then 2.5" from IC to intake, so i figured while i had the welding stuff out i'd redo it 2.5" and add a nice silicone elbow off the turbo for the pimp factor..

now, the money shots....... i was having some issues with a few things, but i got everything worked out now and i sent my manifold off to get coated, so in the down time, i installed my new rc 750's, tucked a few wires and cleaned everything up, also repainted my gay purple greddyt type s flat black to match everything else. i should have some dyno numbers in a week or two, shooting for 400 on pump and 450+ on race, completely stock head, intake, cams etc.

looks good Kevin.. for a flux core, those welds came out pretty damn good.
so whats the deal on the block? you ever do the ls/vtec.. or do pistons and rods in the b16, or is it completly stock?

anyway lookin forward to seeing the dyno numbers, 400 is a good goal to set :)

Re: recent pics of my car and 3" exhaust

na, decided not to do lsv, i just built the b16 block, i wanna get 400 on pump with stock top end, then do some head work and cams and valvetrain and shoot for 450 on pump, then get a bigger turbo and shoot for even more :D i'll never sleeve my block though. my eventual goal is 475 on pump with stock bore, stock sleeve 1.6, hopefully by next summer.

Not bad..not bad. Clean looking ---- even for no gas. I all thrills and no frills and have yet to weld with gas so I don't know what I'm missing. I just use that Lincoln welding spray and it works pretty good on clean and keeping the splatter down. Hell it's probably just WD40 but relabeled but it works good.

i made it

3- 3" 180° and 1- 2.5" 180° (to redo the section of charge pipe) = 60.00
5 metal and rubber hangers = 25.00
3" inlet/outlet hooker muffler = 25.00
3", 8" long flex section = 45.00
7' of 3" straight pipe = 50.00
3" v band clamp and regular 3" 3 bolt flange (for axle back section) = 40.00

so, just a little over 200 for turbo back and a section of charge piping also

so do you have any injectors for sale?

i dont think you'll hit 400, maybe at the flywheel, but def not at the tires with a 1.6l engine, stock head, and lower compression internals. maybe if you have high compression interals it may be doable.

400 on a stock sleeve, forged internal B16 is nothing these days...

Re: recent pics of my car and 3" exhaust

ya idk what hes talken about, dave made 311whp i think on a completly stock b16 with a smaller turbo running less boost, so its definaly possable to produce those #'s.

450 wheel on pump, stock bore and a 1.6l should be pretty difficult

I agree... i didnt see what kevin said he was going to up the boost to, but i think he will get close to the 400 mark. Anyways, glad to know your still with us kevin, car still looks hot.

lol, 400 isn't anything, that's just gonna be my every day driving pump gas tune. you have a lot to learn grass hopper ;)

yeah, i know 450 on pump won't be easy, but with a good enough flowing top end and big enough turbo, shouldn't be too hard. 450 on race gas as the motor is right now should be cake, i'm hoping about 24 psi and a fair amount of timing. i know a guy that hit 478 on race gas with a little ass sc34 at 25psi with 84mm bore, so 81mm won't be as easy, but very very possible
