rebuilding brake caliper...

Anyone ever rebuilt a Honda Brake caliper. Whats involved? is it easy? mine is just stuck and wont turn back in. Another guy told me it wasnt worth it...but I cant find another to replace it with.

Anyone ever done the job...

i am assuming it is the rear caliper that u can`t turn back in ?
i`ve seen a few where the rubber boot stuck into the gap, rip out the rubebr boot and try again.

Re: rebuilding brake caliper...

just spend a lil more money and get one not rebuilt, talon my brother owned had the rebuilt ones and it still holds almost like your on the breaks a little, just get new ones, and be done with it.

Hit up Autozone.com for a price. Or you could also hit up ebay, i'm sure you can find someone to ship to Japan.

Re: rebuilding brake caliper...

You do know that the rear calipers twist in rather than just pushing in dont you frank?

On the caliper piston, there is a cross on it, get something wide enuff to spin the piston between the gaps and wind the baby in! O0 I tried for ages with a G clamp only to realize that it twisted back in not pushed :S
