But if you overclock ANYTHING, make sure it is cooled properly. I watched a video yesterday of normal processors having their fans/heat sinks taken off while playing UT. That ---- slowed the ---- down, froze up, killed the PC or the processor just started smoking like a sumbitch. It took seconds, and in one case, not even a second.

i heard the people in america use overclocking cpus' to see which horse is gonna win at the track and make huge money$$$$. true tory.

overclocking is like turbocharging your computer. you make it run past spec. just like you do when you turbocharge you r car you run it beyond spec. this story is a joke running anything beyond spec wont rip the space time continum

 

yes it will, this guy I know, his sister inlaws cousin overclocked his 286sk to 3.98 Ghz and it blew up the whole state of Iowa into the space time rift.

Overclocking = faster performance for free! cheaper than Home made turbocharging!
