Never had a problem with viruses or movie companies from multi-part archives. They started doing that back when IRC/newsgroups were the warez-source of choice, before you could resume downloads from where they left off, so you were downloading a ton of small files instead of one huge file that could ---- up at the end or be corrupt and force you to start it over. Why they still do it? No clue.

You don't really have to worry about the legality of downloading from bittorrent either, at least I've never heard of anyone having troubles. For the paranoid among us, there is "IP Guardian" which blocks the IPs from known ********.

I'm a quality buff so the crap they stream isn't worth my time. If I'm going to watch something, I'll wait an hour to watch it in high def as it was meant to be.
