Raptor 700R

I'm thinking about getting one, anyone here own one or rode one yet? Seems to be a pretty sweet bike. I'd really like to go with a Banshee but prefer to have a bike with reverse and a bike I can drive up to the pumps and fill it up. I'm just a little weary of the new fuel injection system, I know it's suppose to work great and is excellent for starting, but it's new and I'm curious how it will hold up to the elements.

I rode a 660R the other day....they are fast. But if i was gonna buy a quad, i would get something 4x4

(i think i've turned HMT into a dirt bike forum...sorry guys)

The best 4-stroke hands down is the YFZ450. And the Banshee owns everything

I'm not impressed with the 660's. :-\ The only reason they are as fast as they are(and they aren't really fast)is because they have such a big motor. 350cc Banshees will walk all over the 660 Raptor. :-\ I'm just not a big fan of 4 strokes. Why ride a 4 stroke that requires twice the motor to produce half the power of a 2 stroke? 4x4 quads are too big and too heavy. Great for 90 year old ladies who just want to cruise around the woods in 1st gear, but if you're serious about riding and actually want something competitive, skip the 4x4 4 strokes with automatic transmissions.

Re: Raptor 700R

I would buy the 4x4 quad for a working quad
i.e. plowing the laneway
back in the woods etc.

I like 4 strokes better, but i LOVE my 2 stoke as well. Depends on what kind of riding you like to do and how often you like to rebuild

Re: Raptor 700R

i have to agree with rawr, hands down the predator, ive got one and i love it, it handles way better than any other quad ive ridden. and as for the raptor, its still a raptor. i honestly dont like the banshees because of their handling, ive ridden one buddies whose was piped and a few other things, with a cool head and it was fast but it handled like ----, and my other buddies banshee has pipes and a boost bottle, and i wasnt very impressed. theyre good for straights and thats about it as far as i feel honestly. :-\

Re: Raptor 700R

there was a guy at the races oen time he had a GSXR1000 in a quad and it was all wheel drive!!! CRAZY!!

but for 660cc's it makes ---- all for power. they shoulda made it a twin or something. they shoudl be hella fast for 660cc is what i'm trying to say

lol, that's because you have mega wide chromoly A-arms and uber badass Fox shocks. :P Of course your handles good, or at least it better for what you paid for it. :P Don't compare anything to Angels bike because from what I've heard that Banshee is beat. Regardless it'll still eat your quad alive, along with Julians. :P

BTW, we're heading out to the sand either tomorrow or Sunday so get your ---- ready. We tore that place up last weekend. >:D

the baddest quad out of the honda cr450f quad.

they are the best motor hands down stock. honda has the best brakes, and fit and finish. banshee is a classic.

raptors are heavy and slow. the suzuki lt400 is terrible, if i owned a quad, oh wait, i wouldnt, dirtbikes for life ------s

the new kx450 motor is suppost to be the most powerfull in its class. .. And KTM sx series bikes are the closest to
race ready you can buy from what I hear... Brembo brakes, tit clamps, and hydraulic clutches??.. wtf is that..
Hey whitey, ever had your foot slip off the peg and the rear tire eat you alive? .. Pretty dangerous ---- you got there.
Your quad looks ------- awesome though, I'll give ya that.

yeah thats gonna be awesome, are they gonna use the 525 motor in any of their atvs? and as far as i9t goes for your foot gettin caught in your back tire, i ride without heelguards and i have never had a problem, ive still got nerf bars, and if your wearing boot theres nothing to worry about, and the banshee propegs have heel guards built in.

I got my leg eaten by a 3-wheeler once. I wasn't wearing boots or anything and I had to walk about 5 miles home after that. Not a fun experience........

I don't understand why people ride 50's. I could see them being fun when you're drunk or when you just want to ---- around, but let's get serious and stop ------- with clown bikes. No matter what you do to a 50 it's still an undersized, underpowered, unstable kids bike with very little stability. Jumping a 50? That has to be the gayest thing ever. I'd rather go road skiing down the highway naked.

yea, what i ment by getting eatin was the quad runs your ass over.. saw a friend do it one time..
foot slipped off the peg, bike tire ran up on his leg and sucked him right under the back tires.. ripped his pants
right off.. haha, he was pretty shaken up about that one..
