I posted a PS3 with some games on CL last week for like $450. A guy got in contact with me and talked me down to $375 which I wasnt thrilled wit but I need $ for an ATV trailer, so I agreed. He asked me if I had the original boxes for the console and Guitar Hero, which I did - so I boxed everything up and brought it to work the next day. The next day the dude calls and said he'd be there in 20 minutes. NEVER SHOWED UP.
Fast forward to last night, I re-list it for $375. He emails me offering $295. I decline and he offers $300. 5 more bucks....WTF?
Next time somebody pulls that "whats the lowest you'll go", come back with "whats the most you're willing to pay?"

I've given up on negotiations and have started the $xxx.xx FIRM technique. That way they know that is my price and there is no reason to try to make a ridiculous offer and if they do, you know they're not going to buy it anyways. The majority of the population is complete ----. You have to adjust for that.
